The Digital Theater project aims to respond to the challenges affecting the cultural sector, as a result of COVID-19, by helping the theatre professionals (and other professionals interested in theatre on a professional and non-professional level) to remain active, market-relevant and maintain their theatrical operations as usual. With a 24-month duration, the Digital Theater project aims to offer to theater professionals a set of tools that help them to transition to the digital world.

The consortium of this project is comprised of five organizations, from five different countries. Coordinated by Artit London Lda. (UK), this project also integrates Mentortec (Portugal), Associacio La Xixa Teatre (Spain), Synthesis Center For Research And Education Limited (Cyprus), and Kentro Merimnas Oikogeneias Kai Paidiou (Greece).

The five organizations of the partnership attended the Kick-off Meeting that was held online on the 8th September 2021.

In this first meeting the general goals of the Digital Theater project and several relevant topics were presented and discussed. In particular, the first Intellectual Output of the project “Guide and training programme on digitally native theatre” was discussed and the partners defined its implementation strategy.
