Citizens Xelerator is the name of the new project coordinated by Mentortec, which counts with the participation of 8 partner organisations from 8 different countries: DANTE (Croatia), CESIE (Italy), VHS (Germany), ACEFIR (Spain), AAH (Greece), APCEP (Portugal), AEAE (Romania) and AONTAS (Ireland).
The Citizens Xelerator project has as main objectives: (1) to strengthen the democratic and civic literacy and social empathy of low-skilled adults; and (2) to contribute to a systemic change in the regional/national/European approach and strategies fostering adult participation in democratic life, embrace the common values and civic engagement.
The Citizens Xelerator project partnership met online for the first time on the 10th and 11th of January 2023, with the presence of representatives of all partners. This first meeting aimed to outline the next steps and activities of the project, namely the project kick-off meeting and the peer-learning sessions (organised under the project’s second Work Package), which will take place in February 2023 in Matosinhos, Portugal.
