A Look to the Future – From Misinformation to Digital Literacy<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

From 13 to 18 October 2025, Europe will celebrate the ninth edition of #ErasmusDays, an initiative that highlights the importance of academic mobility and European education. This international event will bring together students, educators, professionals, and citizens to showcase the advantages of the Erasmus+ programme and share success stories. As part of this celebration of diversity, learning and international cooperation, Mentortec and INOVA+ are organising a special event on 14 October<\/strong> at the Higher School of Education of Coimbra (ESEC). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Erasmus Days: A Celebration of European Education and Diversity<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The #ErasmusDays celebrate education and cultural diversity, focusing on the impact of the Erasmus+ programme on the lives of thousands of people. They represent a moment of unity in Europe, providing an opportunity to share experiences, reinforce a sense of common identity, and promote the exchange of knowledge and good practices. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This year, the event organised by Mentortec and INOVA+ incorporates two European projects centred on digital and media literacy: Think Twice<\/a> <\/strong>and Digital Literate<\/a>.<\/strong> Through these projects, the participating organisations aim to demonstrate the importance of empowering educators and students to address the challenges posed by digitalisation, and to combat misinformation by integrating media literacy into teaching practices. <\/em>.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Erasmus+: Key Programme for Cooperation and Innovation<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Erasmus+ programmes are essential for developing projects that promote learning, employability, and cooperation between European institutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • The KA2<\/strong> action, which is part of the Think Twice<\/strong> project, promotes the acquisition of skills, the sharing of knowledge and professional integration. It provides students and professionals with the opportunity to expand their networks and strengthen their European identity and employability.

    ESEC: A School Committed to Internationalisation <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    The event will be held at the Higher School of Education of Coimbra (ESEC)<\/strong>, an institution that has distinguished itself through its commitment to providing high-quality training tailored to the needs of modern society and geared towards successful professional performance. The presence of the ESEC International Relations Office is extremely important<\/strong> as it reinforces the school’s commitment to internationalisation<\/strong> and creates new opportunities for collaboration for its students and the wider educational community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Event Programme: ‘Explore, Learn, Transform’ <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    The agenda includes speeches by the ESEC Presidency and the International Relations Office coordination team. Topics that are crucial for the future of education will also be covered, including: <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    • Tools for digital teaching and learning<\/strong> with M\u00e1rcia Gouveia from INOVA+ and the Digital Literate<\/strong> project;<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Digital citizenship: from thought to action<\/strong>, featuring Marta Reis and Maria Rodrigues from Mentortec and the Think Twice<\/strong> project.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

      The meeting will focus on the importance of media and digital literacy, with an emphasis on training educators and students to deal with misinformation, which is becoming increasingly prevalent in the digital world. The event will also showcase innovative tools and resources for teachers, schools and other educational institutions. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

      The collaboration between the Think Twice and Digital Literate projects and Mentortec and INOVA+ will not only raise awareness and disseminate information, but also highlight the importance of European initiatives involving different countries and cultures. The joint effort to combat disinformation and promote digital citizenship reflects the commitment of the two entities to creating a positive impact on educational communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
