As part of the European Vocational Skills Week 2023, which ran from 23 to 27 October, the European Commission’s Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA) presented an innovative publication highlighting the key role of skills in shaping the future in Europe and beyond.
Entitled “EACEA and the European Year of Skills – Supporting upskilling and reskilling initiatives inside and outside Europe“, this publication is a testament to the transformative power of education and vocational training today. Its aim is to publicise the skills projects coordinated by the EACEA and their impact on making countries inside and outside Europe more competitive and resilient.
Thus, EACEA selected and highlighted a number of ERAMUS+ actions aimed at improving employment-related skills. Among these, the Citizens Xelerator project, coordinated by Mentortec, is particularly noteworthy for the peer-learning sessions held in Matosinhos, which aimed to train the partnership in the main European reference frameworks and related projects, providing them with the skills and resources to develop the project’s activities and products.
