The Blossom Beyond Borders (BBB) project officially began on 15 and 16 January 2026 with an inaugural meeting organised by the Fundación Santa María la Real in Madrid. This event brought together a diverse international consortium, marking the beginning of this ambitious European initiative, which is focused on empowering migrant women and strengthening the skills of professionals working in social inclusion.

With a clear, impact-oriented vision, the project aims to develop innovative educational tools, promote the sharing of best practice, and ensure the long-term sustainability of implemented actions. The goal is to create practical, replicable solutions that reinforce inclusion and equal opportunities, and encourage the active participation of migrant women in society.

Mentortec plays a strategic role in the consortium, leading Work Package 2 (WP2) – Empowerment Beyond Borders – in partnership with Connectis. This work package will develop a comprehensive and accessible guide designed for professionals and migrant women alike, focusing strongly on practical applicability and ease of translation into different European contexts.

In addition, Mentortec is responsible for Work Package 5 (WP5) – Communication, Dissemination, Sustainability and Exploitation. This involves overseeing the strategic promotion of the project’s results and ensuring they are visible to key audiences. Mentortec is also leading the implementation of a rigorous quality assurance system, which includes detailed monitoring and risk assessment mechanisms. This will ensure that the project meets its objectives effectively and has a measurable impact.

The success of the initial meeting marks the beginning of a solid and promising international collaboration. Over the coming months, the partners will collaborate to establish this project as a European benchmark for supporting and empowering migrant women, thereby contributing to the creation of more inclusive, resilient, and sustainable societies.
