The OrganKits project, in which Mentortec participates as a partner and dissemination leader, seeks to boost innovative education and promote excellence in secondary schools, focusing on the development and validation of revolutionary educational materials – known as OrganKits – designed to strengthen STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Maths) education.

Presented at the International Conference on Education, Research and Innovation (ICERCI) from 2023, it highlighted the process of developing these materials, which are carefully developed to address the specific challenges faced by educators when teaching STEAM subjects. The kits, designed to be engaging and interactive, provide a hands-on approach to learning, encouraging experimentation and problem-solving by students.

The project’s collaborative approach and distinctive methodology were also emphasised throughout the presentation. The synergy between different experts, from educators to instructional designers, reflects the OrganKits project’s commitment to providing comprehensive solutions that are adaptable to the specific needs of each educational context. By boosting STEAM education through the development of innovative educational materials, the project aims to mark its commitment to building a solid educational foundation and preparing students for the challenges of the 21st century, where STEAM proficiency will play a crucial role in personal and professional development.

This project is coordinated by the University of Murcia (Spain) and has the participation of 5 partner organisations from 5 different countries: Mentortec (Portugal), Discover-IN (Spain), KUŞADASI High School (Turkey), Platon M.E.P.E.
