After two years of intense work, the Digital Theatre project has come to an end. This was a European project that brought together five partners from five countries: the United Kingdom, Portugal, Greece, Spain and Cyprus. Its main objective was to support theatre professionals and non-professionals by providing them with the necessary tools to adapt their work to the new digital era. For 2 years, the project partnership worked actively to develop:

1. A guide for theatre professionals on methodology and digital theatre, available in 4 languages, which will help theatre professionals adapt their plays to the digital context;

2. A training programme implemented with around 50 theatre professionals in the 5 countries of the partnership, which resulted in the development and implementation of 5 national digital plays and 1 joint European play;

3. An e-learning training programme in digital theatre, available in 4 languages.

4. A guide for non-professional theatre artists on digital theatre, available in 4 languages, which will help amateur theatre artists adapt their plays to the digital context;

5. A resource platform where all the project’s resources are available, as well as a database with the profiles of all the professionals involved, in order to promote synergies at European level.

The project ended with the presentation of all these results at multiplier events organised in the 5 partner countries, bringing together theatre professionals, amateur theatre artists, students and theatre teachers.

Although the Digital Theatre project comes to an end, its legacy lives on and its results can continue to be consulted for free on the project’s website and resource platform.
