As part of the Digital Theatre project, Mentortec ran a training course in methodology and digital theatre for theatre professionals and experts working in Portugal. Over the course of 10 sessions that took place online between 14th November and 14th December of 2022, the main aim of this training was to prepare the participants with the digital skills to create and broadcast a digital theatre.
The training covered different contents from creation to production and promotion in native digital theatre. Theatre professionals from the North to the South of Portugal responded to the challenge set by Mentortec and actively participated in this training, where they also had the opportunity to create and develop a piece of digital theatre, using the methodologies, content and tools covered throughout the different sessions.
“Where’s the breath from?”
The training ended with the public presentation of a digital theatre play, created and performed by the theatre professionals who attended the training. The digital theatre piece, entitled “Where’s the breath from?”, was presented to the public on 14th December via Zoom platform.
